IMATS London 2013

If there is one day of the year that I look forward to more than most, it is the day I go to IMATS. I've been for the previous two years and have loved each and every time. It's so lovely to see so many creative and passionate people in one place. I am definitely the most makeup/skincare/beauty obsessed out of my friends, without a doubt, and when I go to IMATS I feel like I finally fit in somewhere. I can turn round to the person next to me and rattle off how I'm totally in love with *this* lipstick shade and they can respond, knowing what I'm talking about!

This year, not only did I meet some of the most influential makeup artists in the industry, I also met some of the biggest names in the blogging/YouTube community. I can honestly say that they were all just as lovely as they come across in their blogs/videos. I briefly spoke to Fleur and Ingrid, they had a long line of people waiting to talk to them so it was a fleeting conversation but they were so nice and bloody gorgeous! I also got to have a quick chat with Becky who was lovely, she was wearing such a pretty dress. I love it when you meet someone genuinely cheerful and talkative - they're so easy to be around.

Sneaky snap of Captain Jack Sparrow...
I was lucky enough to be a few rows back in the 'Power of Social Media' talk which was hosted by Ruth, Louise, Vivianna and Caroline. It was hilarious, they had great chemistry as a group and divulged on some of the tricks of the trade and some rather amusing stories and opinions. It was so nice to get the opportunity to talk to the people behind the blogs, very motivational too. I didn't get the chance to chat to Caroline afterwards but Ruth, Louise and Vivianna were all really friendly (and so beautiful) and stood for photos with countless people which was very kind of them!

If you're a makeup lover or just love the blogging/YouTube community then I'd definitely recommend going to IMATS. I didn't get the chance to do much shopping this year (NARS was absolutely crazy, SO busy) but the brands usually have some kind of discount which is always nice!

Did any of you guys go to IMATS? Send me your links to any posts you've done!

The Wish List #01

01. Topshop lipstick in 'Macaroon'   02. Molecule 01   03. Dior Airflash foundation   04. Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess Eau Fraiche Skinscent   05. Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in 'Soft Brunette'   06. MAC Powder Blush in 'Well Dressed'

I am a huge lover of lists. If you look on my phone or in my notebooks, you will find page after page of lists. As a beauty/makeup lover also, I have my eye on a few products at any given time so I figured what better way to update my wish list each week than to do a blog post about it!

01. I've been eyeing this lipstick up for a some time now, it's such a beautiful pink colour! I really love the Topshop lipsticks that I own, the formula is lovely and wears really well. The only reservation I have is that I'm not sure that the colour will suit me... Hmm.

02. Ruth Crilly sparked my interest in this, I read a blog post she did about this perfume ages ago  and since then, I have been really toying with buying it. I've heard mixed reviews which leaves me feeling unsure, a price tag of £65.50 is a lot if it turns out to be a bit 'meh'. If you've tried it, please let me know what you think!

03. Every time I venture into my local department store, I gravitate towards this. I just find it so odd that you have to spray it on, I mean it's not like a typical airbrush system. I've applied it to the back of my hand a few times and it just feels SO lovely.

04. I was watching one of Lily's video's recently and she mentioned how much she loved this summer scent, the way she described the scent made me desperate to try it! My lovely boyfriend grabbed me a sample of this the other day and we both just fell in love with it - it's so summery and pretty!

05. I've been on the hunt for a new brow product for a little while now and I've seen this particular brow pencil being reviewed on the blogosphere quite a few times. It's quite pricey at £26.00 but I have yet to see a bad review...

06. This is quite a cult product, pretty much everyone has this blush it seems. I know that so many people love this and swear by it so I figure, why not? I think it will look really cute with a tan too!

What's on your wish list this week?

thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Talk

thisworks Deep Sleep Pillow Talk - £20.00
I first heard about this range in Ruth Crilly's (AModelRecommends) hibernate video, this video was totally up my street and it's definitely worth a watch if you haven't seen it! Having M.E. means that I really need to make time for deep, productive sleep - I can't stay up later than 11:30 or I am useless the next day. Recently I have been having trouble sleeping and my illness has been causing me some hassle so, what could I do? I needed this product, honestly...

It's so simple and easy too, it takes up no time at all. I snuggle into my bed, spritz the spray onto my pillow and rub the stress less roller ball onto my wrists and I'm set for bed! The scent of "Lavender, Vetivert and Wild Camomile" totally relaxes and soothes me, I just close my eyes and focus on inhaling the gorgeous fragrance.

I'm not sure if it a placebo effect or not, but I'm sure this works, (oh, that's where they got the name from!) I really do seem to sleep better each time I use it. Price wise, I think that £20 for two products isn't bad at all and I would definitely repurchase these products again and recommend them to anyone who wants a bedtime treat.

If you've tried these products out, please let me know what you think!
